It also serves to position the magazine box and locate the hinge on the floor plate. This is why adjusting the diagonal screw often (not always) results in having to adjust the trigger guard screws to maintain operation of the latch. Webb17 jan. 2012 · Damn, and I just mounted a scope to my Scout Rifle on Saturday, I wish I had seen that video first. I used 25 in-lbs on the base screws and 15-18 on the ring screws, I guess that's close enough. I didn't think about tightening and loosening the base screws like the video shows to center them in the slots, hopefully that doesn't matter much.
