Prior to that I had an older Phoenix 330 Expert and it was not as easy to set up as it was all text display and not graphical like the 355. With a 1.6mm sharpened tip I got good results at 50 amps with 30 hz welding on the pipe and then had to drop to 35 amps to weld the 1.6mm wire. On the 2.4 wire I had to go to 65amps and 100hz to weld onto pipe and then down to 45 amps to weld wire on wire.
